Our Work

Our work has included international expeditions to the Amazon Rainforest where we have coordinated reforestation projects and infrastructure builds aimed at protecting reserves in the jungle, farming programs in the mountains of rural Jamaica, and conservation events in New York City. Kay Pacha Initiative has hosted events in the past around the NYC area that include beach cleanups, park cleanups, invasive species removal projects and tree planting projects. Donations to our organization go directly to funding more events like this in the future. If you would like to volunteer with us at our next event click on the Volunteer link below.

The majority of Kay Pacha’s donations have gone to protecting the Aquicuana Reserve in the Bolivian Amazon.

Our work in the Bolivian Amazon is located in the Aquicuana Reserve. Together with local nonprofit Sustainable Bolivia we are attempting to expand the protected area of the Reserve by 1 million acres in the next 10 years.

Tree Planting

One acre of trees removes up to 2.6 tons of carbon dioxide each year. Kay Pacha Initiative volunteers working with the NYC Parks Department are able to plant over 100 trees in a matter of hours.

Beach Cleanups

Each year over 100 million marine animals die from the plastic waste that humans dump into the ocean. It is the goal of Kay Pacha Initiative to help curtail the poisoning of this planet in any way that we can.

We’ve partnered with other nonprofits like Pencils 4 Kids to assist them in environmentally focused projects around the world.

Park Cleanups

Parks are an important source of oxygen for densely populated urban environments like New York City. Kay Pacha volunteers clean up garbage so that future generations can enjoy these green spaces.
